Shipping Policy

The recipient is responsible for all import duties, taxes, and any additional costs associated with the package entering the destination country. Please see exceptions below. 

While the listed prices on our website include Country of Origin tax (Portugal, Europe), this does not cover any taxes, duties, or handling fees that may be applied by customs in the destination country. These charges vary widely by country and are determined by your local government and customs agency.

Exceptions

Shipping to the following countries is exempt from import duties:

  • EU countries belonging to the European Community (mainland)
  • US (mainland)
  • Canada 

Please note:

  • Import Duties & Taxes: Any import duties, taxes, or handling fees are calculated and imposed by the customs authority in the destination country. We recommend checking with your local customs office for an estimate of potential fees before placing an order.
  • Customs Processing: Customs may hold packages for inspection, which can result in additional delays outside of our control.
  • Payment of Fees: Payment of any additional customs fees is the responsibility of the recipient, and these fees must typically be paid at the time of delivery or before the package can be released.

If your package is returned due to an incorrect address, an address not found, or an unclaimed package, we will not resend the package without additional payment for reshipping. Please ensure the accuracy of your address information and that someone is available to claim the package upon delivery.

Kindly note that we do not deliver to P.O. Boxes.

Delivery Attempts and Missed Deliveries

Please ensure that someone is available to receive the package at the delivery address. Many carriers make a limited number of delivery attempts, and if no one is available to accept the package, it may be held at a nearby facility for pick-up or returned to the shipper’s warehouse. In cases of additional delivery attempts, Ballet Rosa is not responsible for any related costs. If a package is returned to Ballet Rosa due to an incorrect address, unclaimed status, unpaid customs fees, or missed delivery attempts, we will need to request additional payment to cover both the reshipping and any return costs or fees incurred before we can resend the package. 

Other ideas to avoid missed deliveries

We genuinely want to ensure your order arrives smoothly and without any issues. If you think you might not be available during delivery, please consider using an alternative address, such as a work address or that of a friend or relative who can be available to receive the package.

If a package is returned to Ballet Rosa due to an incorrect address, unclaimed status, unpaid customs fees, or missed delivery attempts, we will need to request additional payment to cover both the reshipping and any return costs or fees incurred before we can resend the package. Should the fees be in excess of the cost of the order, we reserve ourselves the right to refuse accepting the package and its cost.

Shipping Charges

Note: Hungary is included in Europe Zone 402

Orders are shipped in full within an average of 3-5 weeks. This timeframe is an estimate and may be extended in exceptional cases. Once shipping takes place you will be notified automatically and a tracking number will be provided. 

For deliveries within Canada and US, orders are shipped via UPS. For other destinations, different ground transportation companies are used. However, we always appreciate any feedback on our service as a whole and with transport in particular.
