Ordering

Where are the products made?

All of our products are carefully handcrafted in our own factory in Portugal. We use only the highest quality materials, all 100% sourced from Europe. We take great pride in our long-standing partnerships with trusted manufacturers—many of whom we've worked with for decades.

What size do you offer?

Our dancewear is available in a wide range of sizes for both adults and children. We start at 4 years old for children, though we can easily adapt our patterns to younger sizes. On adult we go until XL Adult, but again we can make a similar adapting to accommodate larger sizes. Or sometimes, all you need is a LT Long Torso 2cm adjustment (1"). Please refer to our Sizing Guide for detailed measurements to ensure the best fit and contact us at online@balletrosa.com if you need a special size that you can't find. 

Can I cancel my order?

We completely get it, we change our minds too! Yes, you can cancel your order at any time. We do however ask you to do responsibly as we manufacture our products to order, and a canceled order impacts negatively on our stock.

Quality and Features

What materials are your products made from?

We use high-quality, durable fabrics like Lycra, microfiber, Stretch Lace, 4-Way Stretch Mesh, and stretch cotton to ensure our dancewear is comfortable, flexible, and designed to last through rigorous dance routines.

Each product page specifies the materials used for that item, the Care Guide, and, also a Color Guide that helps you understand how different materials work together, case of the Stretch Mesh (to create dresses, matching skirts, etc).

Do you offer custom dancewear?

Yes, we offer customization options on select styles, exclusively for group orders. To learn more about available customizations and how to get started, please reach out to us at online@balletrosa.com. We’ll be happy to assist you!

How should I care for my dancewear?

To extend the life of your dancewear, we recommend washing items by hand or on a delicate cycle with cold water. Avoid using bleach or fabric softeners, and lay flat to dry to maintain fabric quality and elasticity. For more details, please check our Care Guide that is listed with each product.

Some of our most intricate designs feature complex embroidery, laser-cut details, and even hand-crafted elements, all woven into your favorite Ballet Rosa styles. To preserve these delicate features, we recommend placing your dancewear in a wash bag—similar to those used for delicate garments. This helps prevent contact with items that may damage the fabric, like zippers or buttons, ensuring your Ballet Rosa pieces stay beautiful wear after wear.

Can I have a logo applied to my product?

Yes, we offer logo options on select items, exclusively for group orders. The minimum is 35 logos, which can then be distributed across different products within your order.

My item is damaged or defective. What should I do?

At Ballet Rosa, we take great pride in delivering high-quality, hand-made products that reflect our commitment to excellence. We carefully inspect each item before it leaves our facility to ensure it meets our rigorous standards.

To ensure your satisfaction, please inspect your order upon receipt. If you notice any defects, damage, or if you received the wrong item, we encourage you to reach out to us immediately. Contact us via email at online@balletrosa.com or through the chat feature on our website. Promptly reporting these issues allows us to evaluate the problem and offer a resolution as quickly as possible.

To start a claim, contact us at online@balletrosa.com with a photo of the damaged product. If your claim is accepted, we will provide you with a solution within 3-5 business days. Your options will include:

Replacement with a different product

Full refund of your purchase

Items sent back to us without first placing a claim will not be accepted.

Ordering & Payment

How can I place an order?

Simply browse our products, select your desired item and size, and add it to your cart. When you’re ready, proceed to checkout and follow the steps to complete your order.

What payment methods do you accept?

The website is powered by Shopify Payments. We accept major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, American Express), as well as PayPal and other secure payment options listed at checkout.

Returns & Exchanges

Can I return an item?

Yes, you can. We want you to be completely satisfied with your Ballet Rosa purchase. If for any reason you need to return an item, we’ve made the process as straightforward as possible.

Please also review our Return Policy. Our policy covers returns, refunds, and important details regarding all costs and exchanges. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us—we’re here to help!

When trying on items, we recommend taking extra care. For hygiene reasons, please try them on over your own underwear. Returns may be refused if this guideline is not followed.  

Can I exchange an item?

We do not offer direct exchanges. If you wish to receive a different item, please follow the return process for the original item and place a new order for the desired product(s).

To provide you with the best experience, we encourage you to visit one of our trusted retailers, where you can try Ballet Rosa products in person before making a purchase. This option allows you to explore our collection, feel the quality of our materials, and ensure the perfect fit, so you can be confident in your choice.

How long does it take to receive a refund?

 Once your returned items arrive at our warehouse, refunds are processed within 1-2 business days. The refund will be issued using the same payment method you originally used unless you request an alternative. 

Customer is responsible for providing return shipping. Shipping costs are non-refundable. Import taxes and duties paid when returning your package to us are non-refundable. We recommend contacting your local forwarding company or postal service for more information on these costs. 

We do not cover any fees associated with receiving your return at our warehouse.

If any costs are charged to us upon receipt of your return, we will decline the package and return it to you at your expense. Alternatively, we will deduct such expenses from the total refund amount.

Will I need to pay customs fees?

The recipient is responsible for all import duties, taxes, and any additional costs associated with the package entering the destination country.

While the listed prices on our website include Country of Origin taxes (Portugal, Europe), this does not cover any taxes, duties, or handling fees that may be applied by customs in the destination country. These charges vary widely by country and are determined by your local government and customs agency.

Shipping, Returns & Exchanges

We use all major carriers, and local courier partners. You’ll be asked to select a delivery method during checkout.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide! However, some countries may not appear at checkout—usually because we haven't shipped there before. If you’re unable to complete your order due to this, please contact us at online@balletrosa.com so we can arrange a custom shipping solution for you.

How long will my order take to arrive?

It depends on the availability of the item:

If the product is in stock, your order will be processed within 1–2 business days, and delivery typically takes 2–7 business days, depending on your location.

If the product needs to be made to order, our standard production time is 3–5 weeks, after which the item will be shipped.

If you're working with a specific deadline, feel free to contact us—we’ll be happy to check availability and help you find the best option.

What happens if I miss the delivery?

If you anticipate not being home, please consider using an alternative address (such as a work address or a friend’s address). If the package is returned due to missed delivery or an incorrect address, we will require additional payment for reshipping and any return fees.
